StepIt is the logical extension to the Step and Repeat function found in QuarkXPress. Using StepIt you no longer need to Step and Repeat items in a two-step process to create a two-dimensional grid. Simply select one or more items, specify the number of items to be repeated in each direction and the amount of offset between items. That’s it!
The built-in intelligence of StepIt allows you to step and repeat single or multiple-selected items and offset them accurately even without knowing the width or height of the item. When setting the offset between items, StepIt lets you choose between Exclusive Mode (do not include the width of the item when duplicating, this is the mode the Step and Repeat function of XPress uses) or Inclusive Mode (include the width of the item when duplicating). Users may specify either of the two offset modes for each direction.
